It depends on what you compare it to. If you compare it to supermarket matcha at €12 — that's culinary grade, made with old leaves. It has neither the flavour nor the quality of ceremonial. A 50g pack lasts 25–30 days at one cup per day — that's less than €0.50 per serving. A speciality café in Madrid charges you €5 for this.
If the matcha you tried was bitter or tasted grassy, it was culinary grade or low quality. First-harvest ceremonial has a completely different profile: gentle umami, light vegetal sweetness, no bitterness. Water temperature also matters — above 80°C the flavour turns bitter. At 70°C, everything changes. If you still don't like it, we refund you in full.
It takes 3 minutes. No Japanese whisk, no ceremony. Water at 70°C, 2g of powder in a cup, whisk 20 seconds with any fork. Done. Most of our customers prepare it while the bread toasts.
One cup of matcha contains 35–70mg of natural caffeine (coffee has 80–120mg). First-harvest matcha also contains L-theanine and catechins, compounds naturally present in the Camellia sinensis leaf. What people notice: a different kind of alertness, calmer and more sustained. We cannot predict how it will affect you personally — but you have 30 days to find out with a full refund guarantee.
Three verifiable objective indicators: colour (bright neon green — chlorophyll degrades in lower grades), taste (umami without bitterness) and origin (certified plantations in Uji, Kyoto, with Japanese JAS organic and EU Organic certification). We include the batch certificate with every order.
A 30g pack lasts 15–20 days at one cup per day. What users describe from the first few days: a different kind of energy to coffee, calmer and more sustained. The first days of change can be demanding for those coming from habitual coffee drinking — a normal adjustment when changing any routine. From day 3–5 that period passes. What users describe after weeks: greater morning lightness, better-looking skin, more stable days.
