A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. It lets the site remember things about your visit: the language you chose, the products in your basket, or whether you are already signed in.
Alongside cookies, this site also uses other browser storage technologies (localStorage and sessionStorage), which work in a similar way and which we also list on this page.
This policy explains exactly what almate.shop stores, what each item is for, how long it stays on your device, and how you can remove or block it.
Cookies are classified in three ways:
Every cookie on almate.shop is first-party. We use no advertising cookies, no social media tracking pixels and no commercial profiling tools, and we neither sell nor share this data with third parties.
These are essential for the site to work and to remember your basic preferences. Without them you could not switch language, keep a basket or complete a purchase.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID | almate.shop (first-party) | Maintains your server session while you browse. | Session |
pll_language | Polylang (first-party) | Remembers the language you selected (Spanish, English or French). | 1 year |
woocommerce_cart_hash | WooCommerce (first-party) | Detects when the contents of your basket change. | Session |
woocommerce_items_in_cart | WooCommerce (first-party) | Records whether you have items in your basket. | Session |
wp_woocommerce_session_* | WooCommerce (first-party) | Links your basket and order details to your browser. | 2 days |
wordpress_test_cookie | WordPress (first-party) | Checks whether your browser accepts cookies. | Session |
wordpress_logged_in_*wp-settings-* | WordPress (first-party) | Registered users only: keeps you signed in and stores dashboard preferences. | Session / 1 year |
The WooCommerce basket and session cookies are only set once you add a product to your basket or begin checkout.
These tell us how many pages are viewed and how often, so we can understand which content is useful. They are first-party cookies: the information stays on our server, is not shared with anyone, and is not used to build profiles or for advertising.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
breakdance_view_count | Breakdance (first-party) | Counts how many pages you have viewed during this visit. | Session |
breakdance_session_count | Breakdance (first-party) | Counts how many times you have visited the site. | Session |
breakdance_last_session_id | Breakdance (first-party) | Identifies your current visit so it is not counted twice. | Session |
At present almate.shop does not use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics tool. If that changes, we will update this policy before switching it on.
These record how you reached the shop (a search engine, a link from another site, a campaign, or directly) so we can tell which channels work when an order is placed. They are set by WooCommerce order attribution.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
sbjs_first / sbjs_first_add | WooCommerce (first-party) | Store the first source you arrived from, with the date and landing page. | 6 months |
sbjs_current / sbjs_current_add | WooCommerce (first-party) | Store the source of your most recent visit. | 6 months |
sbjs_session | WooCommerce (first-party) | Counts pages viewed within the current session. | 30 minutes |
sbjs_udata | WooCommerce (first-party) | Stores technical browser details linked to the visit. | 6 months |
sbjs_migrations | WooCommerce (first-party) | Internal version control for the attribution system. | 6 months |
Besides cookies, the site keeps three items in your browser memory. They are not sent to the server on every visit, and you can clear them the same way you clear cookies.
| Item | Set by | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
wc_cart_hash_* | WooCommerce (first-party) | Displays basket contents without reloading the page. | Until you clear it | localStorage |
wc_fragments_* | WooCommerce (first-party) | Stores the parts of the basket that refresh on their own. | When you close the tab | sessionStorage |
wpEmojiSettingsSupports | WordPress (first-party) | Checks whether your browser displays emoji correctly. | When you close the tab | sessionStorage |
To display the site correctly we load two resources hosted outside our own server. Neither of them sets cookies, but requesting them does reveal your IP address to the relevant provider:
We do not embed videos, maps, chat widgets or social media buttons that set third-party cookies. If we add any in future, we will update this page.
You can delete cookies already stored and stop new ones being set from your browser settings. Here are the official instructions for each browser:
Most browsers also offer a private browsing mode that clears all cookies when you close the window.
Please note: if you block strictly necessary cookies, some features will stop working properly. Your basket may empty, your language choice will not carry between pages, and you will not be able to complete a purchase.
The use of cookies in Spain is governed by article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) and by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability by writing to hola@almate.shop, stating which right you wish to exercise and enclosing proof of your identity.
If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
Full information on how we process your personal data is available in our Privacy Policy.
We may amend this policy when the cookies we use, the tools installed on the site, or the applicable legislation change. The version published on this page is always the one in force.
